The Agony of Restless Nights

Restlessness can grip you like a vice during the night. Every noise becomes amplified, every shadow takes on a menacing form. We seek for an/a/some here escape, a place/safety/shelter where the pain/suffering/anguish can fade/disappear/evaporate, but often/always/sometimes the darkness persists/holds tight/remains. It's in these moments of helplessness that we must find/create/forge our own/internal/personal light/strength/will. We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the powerful spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.

The Heavy Blanket of Insomnia

Aching for Sweet Oblivion

The clutch of oblivion was a siren's call, a gentle promise of escape. To succumb in its depths was to still the incessant cacophony of existence. The reality's sharp edges blurred under the lure of its sweetness.

To truly crave oblivion was to yearn for a fleeting respite from the cruelty of being.
